"We have enjoyed living here AND there are a few irritants, namely, some residents who have large breed dogs who DON’T pick up their feces. This is not only unsightly, but it breeds disease. My tiny dog is at risk because of these rude neighbors’ behaviors. I know there are cameras, and I usually send maintenance requests. It seems like you should be able to give these tenants warnings and fines. It’s NOT OK."

"I am really disappointed that my apartment and the whole building and floors smell of marijuana all the time. Especially my apartment which is a personal space. The smell lingers all day and it comes from the bathroom exhaust as well as from smoke from apartments below me from my window. So there is no way to access fresh air. And makes me a passive smoker 24/7. The management did look into it once but did not alert me with the issue when I was renting it. And I personally did not get to visit before confirming my lease. I had asked twice before confirming the lease regarding smoking policy in the building but there is no tap on it. The issue is so bad that even the gym gets the marijuana/weed smell, so you are tossed for an unhealthy workout. Everything else is great from maintenance request to finishes etc. Will update the review if things change."

"Thought we really do enjoy our unit and the walkability of the neighbourhood , the opening of wing stop down stairs has had a negative impact on our experience. We are very often encountering issues getting into and out of the parking garage because of cars parking in the way to pick up orders. I would also like to see the trolleys replaced or fixed as we use them often and they are in a barely usable state"

From my first day here, the entire staff have shown professionalism and continually provide a positive living environment. The team works so hard to create such a respectable place to live."

"I've been living on the low floor of my apartment building, right next to the street, for three months now, and while there's a bit of noise when I leave the window open, it's been an overall pleasant experience. One of the standout aspects of this place is the excellent management. They do a fantastic job of keeping the building clean and well-maintained. Whenever I have questions or encounter issues, the manager is quick to respond and efficiently resolves any concerns. It's reassuring to know that I have such responsive and capable management looking after this place. I've also been impressed with the room amenities and design of my apartment. The attention to detail in the room design is evident, with the inclusion of high-quality home appliances that work efficiently, making my daily life much more convenient. Furthermore, the ample cabinets for storage have been a lifesaver, allowing me to keep my living space organized and clutter-free."

"The staff at Alexan 100 is fantastic- responsive and super helpful! The trash situation at times in the garage can get difficult with both Starbucks and WingStop piling onto resident recycling. The alleyway behind the building has also gotten super busy (and a little dangerous) with food pickup drivers grabbing orders from WingStop."

"Overall, happy with our experience and great staff :) the only areas that make for a less pleasant experience is the retail additions. Lots of recycling issues and often cars blocking the alleyway. I know there’s little that can be done about that."

"Overall my experience living at Alexan100 has been great! The staff is super friendly and helpful. We enjoy the amenities, especially for being dog friendly. My 2 complaints are: 1. The utility carts are terrible and inconvenient. It's hard to maneuver and sometimes the handle will come off. It would be really helpful if they were to purchase a new utility cart that has a shelf (2 tiers), so it is easier to transport multiple things or a grocery shopping cart is also a great option. 2. The dog wash area is great, but you are unable to use the shower head sprayer since the pressure is too strong and hurts the dogs. The pressure needs to be adjusted or the shower head needs to be replaced."

"I would say that in the past few months, things have improved. Still want to give 5 stars but eventual constructions, limited parking, and added noise from events, it might just be 4 stars. Still higher than most communities in Seattle at the moment. Management and maintenance is great and hopefully will stick around for a long time!"
"The staff is excellent, but the building overall is not worth the cost of rent (unless you're thrilled to be near the Climate Pledge Arena or Space Needle). The building finishes seem cheap (e.g., paint that easily comes off; "wood" finishes that peel due to the glue separating) and the area can be both loud and, sometimes, not feel very safe. It is within walking distance to a number of employers, which is nice, and a Starbucks and some other places have recently opened nearby livening up the neighborhood."

"A bit of a dip in my current review for a few reasons. Parking has been stressful, and although 10 spots have been temporarily removed (construction), I've seen residents on foot open the garage and drive in with someone else. I've also seen multiple people come in together as a group after parking multiple cars. For $200 a month, I expect parking to be guaranteed and not to have to squeeze my car into the smallest space. I miss parking permits and towing cars that aren't supposed to be there. Second is the smell of weed in the apartment. I know this was addressed with signs around the apartment, but it still leaks into our unit. I trust management does everything it can, but in the nearly 3 years of living here, my perception of The Alexan has gone down. With 4 managers, multiple maintenance people, and the constant overturn of residences, it feels like it is losing its quality. I hope to see things turn around for the better."
"I have lived here since it opened and love the location! (Especially now since it is so close to the home of the Seattle Kraken!). I love how spacious the studio is and the unique floor plan with plenty of storage. Any time I submit a maintenance request I generally get a response within 24 hours (for non emergency) and management is quick to help me with any issues I may encounter. Quiet except for the occasional footsteps above me which is expected in an apartment community. Also great amenities and fun social events for tenants."

"Great finish out, new building and convenient location. The units are modern and well appointed with big sinks, AC, new washer and dryers. The dog park on the roof is great. Suggested improvements would be bigger gym, and occasionally it can get loud outside with traffic and events, so double lanes windows would be ideal."

"The application process was very simple. The staff was very accommodating to my schedule in moving in. So far very pleasant:) I can’t wait to get to know some of the residents there as they have all seemed very nice. Garage parking has been very easy to find a spot and convenient. I thought there was going to be a problem with some of the homeless but yet has not been a problem so far. I am in one of the live and work spaces and so far everything has saved to be working."

"The staff and proximity to certain businesses (e.g., grocery; work; tourist attractions) is great (!), but the work-out room is small, and a lot of the finishes in the apartment seem easily worn down (e.g., "wood" finishes that are peeling despite very rarely being touched; flooring not connecting; seams coming through wall paint and floor boards in odd places). Given that renter's representative that walked through the apartment with me when I moved in commented on the ease of which damage could be done to the apartment, I should not be surprised, but I have been given the cost of the unit. Also, as compared to friend's units in the area that have a rooftop, the rooftop is small and a number of the amenities (e.g., grills) have often not worked when I tried to use them."

"Tyler made moving in super fast and efficient. I needed to get in to my place a week earlier than originally planned and he was able to accommodate. Love the location, the apartment and the view. Only complaint would be lack of dog clean up bags on the roof and irresponsible tenants not picking up after their dogs. Left a set of bags up there yesterday to hope people would pick up but someone just stole them."

"Whenever we’ve had any service requests we always get help within 24 hours which is extremely nice. The amenities here are usually always nice and clean for everyone to use and everyone that works here has been super helpful and kind. The only thing that would helpful is if someone could give or leave directions to use the heaters up on the rooftop."

"My apartment is great - spacious with great light - and the staff at Alexan is wonderful! The rooftop views are excellent, and the common areas are well decorated. The only downsides are (a) the gym which is very small and therefore less well-equipped, and (b) the area itself has been under construction (road work; arena work) since I moved in a year ago, which makes it hard to navigate and quite loud at times."

"I’ve been here nearly a year. I’m a Seattleite living several neighborhoods & upper Queen Anne. I’m loving it despite our 1st Ave N being converted to an official bike lane & the Kraken arena parking garage construction. Building insulation is sufficient in muting the busy traffic noise. My unit is brand new with higher end appliances, vaulted ceilings & AC. Mia & Josh were extremely helpful in the smooth move in. Helpful & polite staff. Impressive clean common areas w/2 roof top views. Secured parking garage is a necessity. Mgmt did experiment w/ non-tenant paid parking which made locating a space precarious; it’s better now. Majority of tenants are pet owners, so the emergency rooftop dog lawn & the convenient dog wash are a solid touch. The outside units now have a separating metal gate that has eliminated Metro riders & strangers from entering the tenants’ patios. I can easily walk to the Sculpture Park, Pike Pl & local stores 4 errands. I-5 route is nearby;very centrally located."

"Beautiful building with great amenities and staff really care about residents. Common spaces are reserved via Amenity Pass which ensures that there aren't too many people in one place and common spaces are cleaned routinely in blocked times. The staff, especially Mia, Josh, and Eric, are amazing. Mia has gone above and beyond the duties of a leasing consultant and Josh and Eric have been quick to resolve any problems we've had. The location is great, regular city noise and unobstructed views by the water. Covered garage parking, air conditioning, and respectful neighbors!"

"The location and interior design is always my favorite part of Alexan. The only thing always bothers me is the dryer that never get fixed. The break always jump to the off side in the middle of a cycle. I know the maintenance tried to fixed it and came to my unit for multiple times, and we even changed the dryer machine. It just doesn't help at all."
"The parking situation has gotten really frustrating. People park terribly and eliminate very needed spots. I also see multiple cars without permits. Not sure what's going on but if you come home later than 5 it's hard to find a spot! Enjoy the other amenities, but a peloton tread and bike in the gym would really seal the deal! Maintenance team is awesome."
